I’ve spent nearly two decades enjoying the rewards and experiencing the struggles of being an entrepreneur. As a result, I’m keenly aware of the ups and downs of small business ownership; from product development to marketing to time management to generating sales – during boom or challenging times. What has become apparent to me is that regardless of where you’re at right now you can always achieve more by giving more.
Early on, reading Zig Ziglar’s books taught me a very simple lesson; “You can have everything in life that you want if you just give enough other people what they want.” If I can be so bold I’d like to add “without expecting anything in return” to the end of that sentence. That’s also the powerful truth uncovered in both of Bob Burg’s books, “Endless Referrals” and “The Go-Giver”.
I also learned the importance of an active and ever expanding network of people. If it’s one thing that stays consistent it’s that things always change. As we experience change in our lives – professionally or personally – we are only as strong as our network around us. Unfortunately most of us are taught this lesson the hard way, or as Harvey MacKay might put it; “Waiting until you’re thirsty to dig your well”.
Achieving overwhelmingly positive results from consistent application of the “Law of Giving” to my “Ever Expanding Network” I’ve now dedicated myself to helping others discover and implement this philosophy. My passion has become teaching and coaching small- and home-based business owners, network marketers, and sales professionals how to show their contacts genuine appreciation and effectively use these success principles.
