Google Apps provides all the goodness of Gmail that you’ve grown to love, plus some unique features, for your own domain name.  Google offers 7GB mailboxes, collaboration ability and cloud-based office apps including calendar, presentations, documents and spreadsheets— as well as access to the Google Apps Marketplace.

If you’re a Power User with a lot of mail OR need Enterprise-grade SPAM protection and email retention, you can upgrade to Google Apps for Business and get 25GB per mailbox, Postini SPAM reduction, no ads and upgraded support ($50 per user mailbox per year). The Google Apps Setup Service includes:

  • Setup of Google Apps for your domain name (either Standard or Business Editions*)
  • Setup MX Records (make Google Apps your mailserver)
  • Setup of up to 10 mailboxes for Standard Edition or up to 50 mailboxes for Business Edition
  • Configure friendly URLs for your primary services via DNS** (i.e. mail.yourdomain.com, calendar.yourdomain.com, docs.yourdomain.com)
  • Setup SPF (and possibly DK and/or DKIM) to help spoof-proof your email domain (cuts down on your email getting marked for SPAM and helps ensure email is delivered)
  • Configure security settings for contacts, calendar and document sharing.
  • Upload your company logo
  • 30 days email support
* Google Apps Standard is free to business with 10 or less user accounts. Fees and payment information for the optional upgrade to Business Edition ($50 per user/mailbox per year)  is the responsibility of the client.
** You must have DNS control over your domain name in order to use any Google Apps services. If you’ve registered your own domain name (through GoDaddy.com for example) or have a web hosting account (through GoDaddy.com, HostGator or BlueHost), you most likely do have full DNS access.
